Call for Expression of Interest - Development, Hosting and Maintenance of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Council Website - 83359922

The Study and Expert Fund (SEF) measure on the establishment of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Council is a partnership programme agreed to between the Governments of South Africa and Germany. It is a technical cooperation programme steered and implemented by the National Treasury (NT) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through the Governance Support Programme (GSP) II, the latter responsible for the implementation of the development contribution on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The NT will champion and drive the establishment of the SCM Council. The overall objective of the SEF measure is to support the establishment of a SCM Council and to co-ordinate SCM professionalisation activities in South Africa. The SEF measure’s focus areas of support to the Interim SCM Council in its endeavour to put key organisational requirement for a permanent structure in place are: • set up of the Interim Council secretariat and development of a council charter; • development of an international benchmarking study for a suitable design of the permanent SCM Council; • development of a financially sustainable support model for the SCM; • support the development of technical standard and competencies; • support the development of communication strategy; and • support the registration of the SCM Council as a legal body. A service provider is required to Design the Logo; Develop, Host, Maintain and Support the Website for the Interim Supply Chain Management Council. The scope of work includes: Outcome 1: Design of the Interim Supply Chain Management Council’s logo; Outcome 2: Reservation and registration of 10 domain names; Outcome 3: Development of a website; and Outcome 4: Hosting, maintenance and support of the website. GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa, to participate in this tender. Expression of Interest forms are available for downloading until 03 August 2020.
